Get ready for the Paris Motor Show this October
From October 4th to 19th, the great Paris Motor Show will take place at Parc des Expositions, Portes de Versailles. It’s one of the city’s most thrilling and eagerly anticipated biennial events, and all the top brands from the world of motoring will be there. The Paris Motor Show is the most important exhibition dedicated to cars and motoring in the world, and regularly attracts thousands of visitors. The show takes place in Paris on every even numbered year, so the excitement has been building for some time for the bigger and more spectacular than ever 2014 event.
Exciting new cars at Paris Motor Show
This year the show will feature many of the leading names in motoring, and you can expect world debuts of unique concept vehicles as well as several new production cars. At previous Paris Motor Shows we have seen some of the world’s most exciting cars make their debut, including the Audi A4, the Porsche Cayenne, the Suzuki Swift and the Kia Sportage.
Be among the first to see the Jaguar XE, Mercedes AMG GT, Volvo XC90, the Mk2 Audi R8 and Mazda MX-5 as they are unveiled to the public for the first time at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. Top French names Citroen, Peugeot and Renault are also expected to feature strongly at their home event, and you can expect to see exciting new developments in fabulous concept cars from them and a host of other manufacturers.
There is truly something for everyone at this year’s glamorous show. Ladies will certainly be interested in the superb ‘Automobiles and Fashion’ exhibit in Pavilion 8. In association with INA, it promises to be a showcase of how fashion and motoring have influenced each other over the years and will feature haute couture alongside 40 magnificent cars.
Have you ever wanted to try driving an electric or hybrid car? While many of us are interested in the exciting new developments in motoring, few of us have has the chance. Pop along to the unique a testing centre in Pavilion 2.1 and have a go – it promises to be a highlight of the Paris Motor Show 2014.
The 50’s exhibition is a must for fashion fans
Fashion lovers will be in their element with the fabulous exhibition at Palais Galliera till November 2nd 2014. The 50’s’ takes a candid look at one of the most important and influential periods in fashion and is your chance to see haute couture collections and style icons from the period. From Dior’s ‘New Look’ in 1947, Chanel’s simple straight lines and Balmain’s ‘barrel line’ to the jeans and sweaters of the late 1950’s, you can explore some of the most radical changes in womenswear as fashion began a brave new age. The Palais Galliera is an inspired setting for this exclusive show and ‘The 50’s’ is within easy reach of Hotel Cristal Champs-Elysees by taxi or metro.
