Spectacle at the Château de Versailles
Reviving a tradition dating from the time of Louis XIV, every summer Saturday night from 8.30 pm a celebration takes place at the Château de Versailles, with music and a spectacular fireworks display over the Grand Canal. For 2 ½ hours, visitors are swept away by the great spectacle of the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes, as the royal gardens of André Le Nôtre are illuminated and fountains dance to French Baroque musical masterpieces interpreted by the Musica Antiqua Köln orchestra.
